At OSI, we’ve brought together everything necessary for non-surgical, surgical, and post-surgical orthopedic care, all in one place. An ambulatory surgery center. Physician clinics. Physical therapy. MRI, orthotics, and pain management. And the nation’s first Recovery Inn dedicated to orthopedics. We’ve streamlined the orthopedic process, cutting out any elements that don’t enhance the outcome, and including only what does. By focusing on orthopedics only, we’re able to cut costs, ensure quality, and speed along recovery. And because we’re focused on the patient first, we’ve made every effort to provide a convenient, comfortable, and memorable experience. Make OSI your orthopedic destination. Visit us at osifv.com.

6 weeks following exercises I was given daily and I cannot bend knee beyond 60 degrees and that's with some force. I wish I wouldn't have had surgery. Just last week they told me the exercises weren't enough @#$%^&*
Does your angle (how low you bend) determine the effectiveness of this exercise?
Can I do this for minuscus surgery
Yeah that will be good. But you should discuss with your surgeon and make sure that your leg is ready for this.
I just had this today at 12:00pm Sweden time zone right now it is 18:25 I can do all this with a bit of pain of course 😅one thing I was so terrified that I cancelled my first surgery later on said yes to it! When it is your first time to do anything concerning surgery you will be terrified and it will definitely be hard for you to accept it 😢but you nee! I had a broken bone inside which was supposed to be cleaned I am glad it was successful dear person please take good care always f your knee ❤️
Me who is going to have knee arthroscopy in a week time I swear I am gona come back and do this
Rest in peace Cassie.
These replies are killing me. Did none of you do any pre-hab prior to your surgeries? I spent the 6 weeks between diagnosis and surgery killing myself in the gym strengthening my legs. I walked un-aided into my house after surgery and could do all of these the next day with no issues or pain.
I had my meniscus surgery 4 days ago. Since my doctor didn’t give me any specific exercises, I dug up this video. It is very helpful!
I have dislocated my knee and got a cast for my left whole leg. I have been told to do strengthening exercises which involves lifting my legs a bit while in sleeping position. But the cast feels too heavy. I cant lift my injured leg an inch, while I can easily lift my other leg. What do I do.
Nice presentation thanks❤
It's been more than 2 months since I had my knee operation, but i still have to recover my full range of motion even if i am doing physical therapy session. How come it's taking this long?
We live in Portugal and I just had an athroscopic surgery to right knee. We had an amazing experience but the post-op instructions are in Portuguese and are slightly daunting. Having seen your video now was very very helpful and I am glad I found it. Thank you for putting the efforts in to show others like us far abroad how to manage the exercises. 👏💪👍
How do you pay for it????
We accept most insurance!
Doc which exercise i can do after two weeks of surgery? Please give me a response
Very helpful. Thank you
Informative video on strengthening knee following knee arthroscopic surgery. Gonna have arthroscopic surgery in the next few weeks due to knee arthritis and I find this video very helpful
I had mine done a week ago. Have a lot of stiffness for sure
I’m grateful for your video. Meniscus surgery a week and a half ago. My surgical nurse gave me standard exercises to do, but on paper with images. No clarity about how to do them or gradually add a new exercise as days went on. Too much hip muscle strain left me with irritated hip muscles. Your video gave me a clear option, and I’m feeling no hip strain. Feeling less knee pain. Thank you.
On day 4 after meniscus surgery, tears repaired on both sides of my knee. Only instructions I was given was to elevate and ice and use crutches, but allowed to put weight on the leg immediately if tolerated. I’m 71 years old, I don’t think crutches are very safe, instead I was using a walker with front wheels which is much more stable. I was allowed to take the wrapping off my knee after 48 hours and shower, my knee doesn’t look very swollen and I’m able to walk without the walker. However, my knee is quite stiff and sore. My return appointment with the surgeon isn’t for two weeks. I had the left knee done two years ago, and followed up with a lot of physical therapy. I’m going to try the gentle exercise this time around. I think they will help me to progress faster.
Today is my 4th day of surgery ( partial meniscectomy), This video is really helpful 😊 Thank you so much ❤
How are U doing? I'm having a partial meniscectomy on Nov 22 Did U have other injuries? I have loose bodies, bone contusion, complex meniscus tear,& Baker's cyst. A nightmare injury. Hope everything is fine w/you. Did U have a spinal or a general? I'm having a general. How long was the surgery? How's the pain? I'm a little nervous!
@@estelleadamski308 I also had complex meniscus tears and Baker’s cyst. I have done partial meniscectomy and syringed out the fluids from cyst.TBH I am doing great now. I followed the exercise shown on this video, elevate leg and icing. This is my second week of surgery, I only can’t fully bend my knee atm otherwise all good. I don’t have any problem on walking/climbing stairs. Best of luck for your surgery. You can ace it 🙌🏻💐
And also I have done surgery under spinal anaesthesia. It took less than half an hour for surgery. The pain after surgery was very mild comparison to the pain when I had meniscus tears.
@@___sijan So glad U are doing OK. I didn't want a spinal as I had 2 C-sections and hated the numb legs, but, my surgeon says no, it would be a general instead. I have a Mayo DR here in WI, so I know I'm in good hands. I'm glad the pain is better for U b/c a meniscus tear is a nightmare injury.
@@___sijan U are kind. My surgery is the day before Thanksgiving, a good way to keep from cooking dinner! A Baker's cyst is terrible pain & along w/a meniscus tear is a nightmare and I also have a bone contusion. I was pushing in a sm garden flag and slammed my foot down twice and caused all this damage. So stupid! So glad U are doing OK, U give me hope!
Than you for the video. I just had partial replacemnt/rotator cuff repair/bicep tendon relocation on Friday. The hardest part for me for this is relaxing my arm to let it swing on its own
I had surgery about 3 weeks ago. Also had a lateral release and a Chondroplasty…I’m having a hard time with knee stiffness and leg lifts without that pain in the middle of my knee, so frustrating and laying on my back trying to bend my knee up with heel slides but it’s sooooo stiff. Also still on crutches to walk around, Feel defeated 😢
Thank you for the great video. Doctors in this neck o' the woods tell you nothing, not even to ice and elevate. Just medicine a crutches. It's rhe pits. I'll to do these exercises daily, like you said. Would like to know when to start on stationery bike.
I just had my surgery. Now i can feel the tendon above the knee cap move when i bend the knee? Is that swelling. Tks
LEO Y Yazmin.❤❤
Wow-how much pain were u in with getting both done at same time
This helped me more than ANY instructions I was given by the surgeon!
It needs some stuff
After how much tym can run
I had my surgery on tues 7/11 and Im still having a hard time bending my knee. Had PT the next day. Then had PT done on friday which i worked it very good but swollen the nexy day an still hatd to bend. I cut all mu ligamnets an a artery due to an accident. Surgery was also for a force bend. She is the best therapist
Which of her shoulder is injured? Left or right? LOL
Did In aurtgoscopic surgery biopsy is mandatory?
Day of surgery……….no way.
How many reps ànd sets?
I think it is better to talk to your doctor before doing any of these exercises, I have been told I should put my leg on the floor for 6 weeks, so I shouldn't do some of the exercises
Don't do this surgery! I did it before 45 days and nobody explained nothing to me. I had blood in my knee like 500ml it was taken out on the 15 day post op . 45 day later i have temperature and swelling combined with pain an stiffness in the knee . I also have quad muscle hard lump near the knee cap since the surgery. Like they torn my muscle or something! I 'm walking with crutches still unable to walk normaly . I cqnnot bend my knee fully to my but , the pain is unbearable. So i'm fucked up . Never undergo this surgery. That's my advice.
What city are you in?? Why don’t you have that info?
I had my scope on 3/17. Day 3 was the worst for me. I started physical therapy on Monday. But the way you show and explain your exercises is great! Mornings are definitely the worst stiff as a board. Sleeping was pretty difficult until I came across a video on here about where to place pillows between your legs to make it more comfortable to sleep.
Hang in there im 4 months out the recovery flew by you’ll be back at it before you know it
What video. Can you share please. Having a very difficult time sleeping on.back
I'm on day 3, today was the worst pain and stiffness, trying to get out bed, I've been doing some stretching exercises, it helps with the stiffness
My surgery is in April. Thanks for this information.
I got mine done on the 24th and my knee is stiff want it to go away 😢
